Hannover is easy to reach with the DB (https://www.bahn.de). The platforms and the individual levels in the station are easily accessible by escalator or elevator. A selfie "Under the Tail" (meeting point at the equestrian statue of King Ernst August) and maybe a small ice cream 🍦 on hand (Colosseum -https://colosseum-eiscafe.de), then we're ready to go. In the local recreation area Eilenriede, there are - seven marked running tracks, - sunbathing areas, - playgrounds - a trim trail, - skater circuits and also some opportunities to stop for refreshments - tips: Lister Turm Biergarten https://www.lister-turm-biergarten-hannover.de The "Biergarten" from Knusperhaus - https://knusperhaus-hannover.de The new Wald-Hochaus in the Eilenriede is unfortunately only open during the week 😢 and should not be missed: https://www.hannover.de/Kultur-Freizeit/Naherholung/Raus-in-die-Natur/Naturlernorte/Waldstation-Eilenriede/Unsere-Angebote/Das-Wald-Hochhaus We enjoy a short view of the Maschsee and the Maschsee lido (http://www.maschseebad.com) on a wooden footbridge before heading to the Großer Döhrener Teich and the Großer Wülfeler and Detmarscher Teich into the beautiful NSG Leineaue between Hannover and Ruthe (https://www.bfn.de/natura-2000-gebiet/leineaue-zwischen-hannover-und-ruthe). After that we pedal a few more meters on roads, which are surrounded by a beautiful landscape 🌳, before we dive back into the "green" near Hemmingen. If you like, you can walk the last kilometer along the Maschsee, where cyclists, walkers, runners and inline skaters do their laps. Time to enjoy the colorful hustle and bustle or just the view. Hannover is not just the state capital of Lower Saxony. In my eyes, Hannover is a city that is always worth a visit ❤️🤩👍🏼 Here are some more infos: Eilenriede https://www.hannover.de/Kultur-Freizeit/Naherholung/Raus-in-die-Natur/Wälder/Die-Eilenriede Maschsee https://www.visit-hannover.com/Kultur-Sehenswürdigkeiten/Sehenswürdigkeiten/Maschsee Near the route: Zoo Hannover: https://www.zoo-hannover.de Ice stadium: https://www.eisstadion-hannover.de Football stadium: https://www.heinzvonheiden-arena.de Biergarten: Tip - https://www.waterloo-biergarten.de

The shore is lined with trees, sculptures, and cafés that invite you to linger. The view over the lake is particularly impressive, with the waters reflecting picturesquely in the Maschteich pond when the water is calm ✨.
