This sculpture is called "The Birth" and marks the beginning of the artificial watercourse on the Untere Hauptallee in the spa town of Bad Pyrmont. The fountain system symbolizes the human life path from youth and the beginning of life to the "Gate of Old Age". The realistically shaped child sits in a graceful pose on a large bronze sphere. It looks down at the bubbling water, placing one hand on its chest. Inside the sphere, there is lighting. In the dark, fine rays of light penetrate outwards, giving the fountain a special atmosphere at night.

Built in 1864. The Reformation was introduced in Lügde in 1583, as Lügde formerly belonged to the County of Pyrmont, later the County of Lippe. In 1624, during the Thirty Years' War, it passed to the Bishopric of Paderborn, resulting in the Counter-Reformation and the reintroduction of the Catholic faith. Beginning in 1853, a small Reformed congregation reemerged in Lügde through immigration, which finally built this small church in 1864. The tower was added in 1902.
