Bestensee train station – a highlight. Simple, functional, and consistently liked. Further proof that on Komoot, even everyday things can become tourist attractions with enough likes.

The "chicken fountain" with the rooster on top, financed by Landkost-Ei, was put into operation on the station forecourt as part of Bestensee's 700th anniversary celebrations for the Easter market in 2007. Another fountain sponsor was the Wahl bakery, and the fountain is located on the forecourt of Café Wahl. At the end of the last water pipe, from which the water flows into a disused real trough, there is a baker who is symbolically kneading the dough. The figure was created by the artisan blacksmith Dietmar Schur. Source: http://www.mediapur.de/Bestensee/_Fotos_2016-04-30B.html
