Castle-like hotel complex. The rooms are okay, let's see what the wellness and food offer. It's best to book half board. The hotel price includes some free wellness features; the private sauna and massage cost extra, but it was worth it. The dinner was great, the breakfast even better. I must have put on a nice face at the bike parking space in the garage, which is actually 250 CZK, and got a discount.

Interesting place. The teenagers' loud motorcycles are a nuisance.

In Budweis, on the large square, there he stands, majestically wet: Samson, the mighty fountain hero, with lion's strength and wet fur. He doesn't fight against Philistine defiance, no, he conquers the thirst for water! His spear? A stream, crystal clear, so true for thirsty people from near and far. The tourists stand and marvel here, "Who is that man? Why is he really standing here?" But Budweisers have known for a long time: "He's giving us water – beer is much better, though!" So, Samson, hold the urn tight, for Budweis loves you, will never swallow you whole! But when the market square is blazing hot, remember: "First water, then Budweiser beer!"

Dominican Monastery in České Budějovice The Dominican Monastery and its Church of the Presentation of the Blessed Virgin Mary are the oldest Gothic buildings in České Budějovice. It was built when the city was founded around 1265 and became part of the city fortifications. The interior of the church contains rare remains of paintings from the 14th and 15th centuries. The tradition of Marian devotion is associated with the image of Our Lady of Budějovice. The monastery includes the 51-meter-high White Tower from the late Gothic period, which is still an important landmark of the České Budějovice panorama. The monastery garden contains five unique Baroque sculptures by Josef Dietrich. https://travelking.pl/travelpedia/tip/klasztor-dominikanow-w-czeskich-budziejowicach
