Castle-like hotel complex. The rooms are okay, let's see what the wellness and food offer. It's best to book half board. The hotel price includes some free wellness features; the private sauna and massage cost extra, but it was worth it. The dinner was great, the breakfast even better. I must have put on a nice face at the bike parking space in the garage, which is actually 250 CZK, and got a discount.

In Budweis, on the large square, there he stands, majestically wet: Samson, the mighty fountain hero, with lion's strength and wet fur. He doesn't fight against Philistine defiance, no, he conquers the thirst for water! His spear? A stream, crystal clear, so true for thirsty people from near and far. The tourists stand and marvel here, "Who is that man? Why is he really standing here?" But Budweisers have known for a long time: "He's giving us water – beer is much better, though!" So, Samson, hold the urn tight, for Budweis loves you, will never swallow you whole! But when the market square is blazing hot, remember: "First water, then Budweiser beer!"

Perfect for getting from Dlouhá louka to Soloský ostrov Park, crossing the Vlatva River. Then crossing the next bridge you will reach the old town of Budweis.

The sculpture depicts the hot water downpipe that runs through České Budějovice and depicts the permeation of the city in a kind of worm - an earthworm that sometimes appears on the surface and eventually peeks out and spits out greenery. Created by České Budějovice artist Michal Trpák.
