Nice place in the old part of Strängnäs. A yard for sitting outside, lot's of "fika" options and ice cream and plenty of space to rest your bike. Guided tours are also available if one is interested in the history of the buildings.

This is a place where you can take a break on your bike ride and enjoy the wings of history and beautiful nature. Kalkbro is a disused lime quarry that was used for the blast furnaces that were located in the area from the Middle Ages until the 1940s. A flora that benefits from lime grows here and it is exciting to enter the old lime quarry through the cut in the rock. There is also a beautiful nature trail that goes in a circular loop past Dammsjön. There is also a toilet here! There are also tables, benches and a fireplace where you can grill your packed lunch.

The hiking trail passes right by the lake, offering a lovely view. Part of the approach from the east is made up of wooden walkways. Here is also a small jetty going out into the water. A great rest stop for a meal or some snacks!

Awesome shelter surrounded by a beautiful lake on three sides. There is plenty of flat ground surrounding the shelter as well as sturdy trees. There is a fireplace and some picnic tables. The water is easily accessible in multiple spots. Just north of the shelter, by the gravel road, is an outhouse as well as some garbage bins.

The memorial stone for Magnus Lund on the path between the Skogshyddan restaurant and the Kungstornet on Långberget surely causes many passers-by to ask: Who was Magnus Lund? Magnus Lund (1831-1902) was a prominent public figure: ironmonger, district chief, member of parliament and a major benefactor for the beautification of Strängnäs. It was Lund's donated money that largely paid for the construction and tree planting in Långbergsparken. Lund had probably been a major instigator of the Kungstorns project.

Bronze sculpture by Erik Sand, 1959 Erik Sand (1909–1997), the artist of the Lurblåsaren, was born on Tosterön outside the Strängnäs, there was no bridge between the island and the mainland, so as a child he often arrived by boat to Lurudden, where the sculpture has its place.

Floating with a view by Uta Jacobs (b. 1944) consists of two granite sculptures made from a large slab of granite from Ävja. One sculpture, which has the shape of a floating water lily leaf, is taken from the other, which frames part of the landscape with a leaf-like opening.
