Small church above the main street. The church in Oberwil near Büren, formerly St. Maria, was built between the 12th and 17th centuries. Previous buildings date from the 9th to 12th centuries. The church is located on the western edge of the village in a dominant position on a steep hillside terrace that slopes down towards the street and is secured by retaining walls. The east-facing solid building with a Romanesque tower has a late Gothic choir. Notable furnishings include the pulpit from 1625, the baptismal font from 1689 and the glass panes by Andreas Fueter from 1710-11. As Ruedi says, the machines have left their mark here. However, the trail is currently easy to navigate in both directions again. However, there are roots and branches everywhere, so more like S1/S2. When it's wet everything here is full of mud, not recommended.
