The wooden bridge is certainly an eye-catcher when I drove over it on my road bike. Would the wooden planks of the wooden bridge have been more enjoyable than the smooth surface of the car bridge?

From the roundabout down to Volkse (or the other way around) you can cycle quite well on this cycle path. It gets narrow at the Oker bridge, but there is still a separate cycle lane and it is still easy to use. The Oker itself flows quietly here and is surrounded by greenery in the summer. Pretty.

An average bike path. Sometimes, as usual, there are a few roots that make the ride a bit rough, but OK. If an ICE train is rushing past on the railway line, then there is something good to look at from the bridge above.
