The historic stables are located in the heart of Winsen's old town... ...The half-timbered house was built around 1600. Horses and carriages were once stabled here. Today, the building houses the local history museum, the tourist information office, and the city library. The museum presents fascinating facts about the history and culture of the town of Winsen (Luhe) and the Winsen Elbe Marshes. Readings and concerts are held in the quaint hall. winsener-elbmarsch.de

This listed building is worth seeing and is located at Deichstraße 4 in Winsen. A bakery originally stood here in the 16th century. A half-timbered house with a hipped roof was built here in 1799. From 1807, the owner was the merchant Josef Salomon, who sold it to the goldsmith Lindhorst in 1835. His successor, the goldsmith Mauritius Voje, had this building built in 1891 in a historical style. Small turrets, masonry ornaments and colored glazed bricks corresponded to the taste of the time. It was the first residential building designed by an architect in Winsen. The entrance was relocated from Deichstraße to the current location for the Landesgenossenschaftsbank in 1939 and the arcade behind the column was closed. https://de.wikipedia.org/wiki/Liste_der_Baudenkmale_in_Winsen_(Luhe)

MUSEUM IN THE MARSTALL The two-story half-timbered building erected under Duchess Dorothea in 1599 presents itself on four levels. Winsen's writers are presented on the ground floor. In addition, there are the areas of paper production with a model of the former Winsen paper factory in Eppen and a book printer with hot metal typesetting. On the second floor there are constantly changing special exhibitions with art or cultural history themes.
