Synagogue - Synagogue In the 19th century, during a period of rapid growth of the Jewish community, a synagogue was established in a private building on what is now Rue Teyssier, the Maison Mienke. This building, once the former residence of an officer of the Bitche fortress (Jean-Joseph de Lacrosse), was purchased in 1905 and converted into a place of worship. Due to the decline of the Jewish community after the 1970s, the synagogue is no longer in use. Source: https://www.tourisme-paysdebitche.fr/
