The cafe is only open from May to August and shortly before Christmas. When I was there, it was closed, but you could still enjoy the beautiful garden.

The town hall stands on the market square. It was built in 1927. Originally, the town hall was planned to be built on the Thalenweide meadow, but these plans were scrapped. At the rear of the town hall building is a glass mosaic by the artist Schmidt-Westerstede entitled "Fish-Lobster-Crab." This mosaic hung in a fishmeal wholesaler from 1964 to 1988, but was then dismantled and carefully preserved when the business closed.
