Popular around Dillingen/Saar
On my tour today, I crossed it twice. Once when I drove over the bridge in Hemmersdorf and then again on the way home between Rehlingen and Fremersdorf.

Bei der Nied handelt es sich um einen linken Nebenfluss der Saar, der sowohl durch Frankreich (Region Grand Est), als auch durch das Saarland verläuft.

The Biergarten is a good tip for a break. Thanks!

Circular route possible - crossing the Saar at the Rehlingen weir and then you can drive to Besseringen and cross the Saar again there - the whole thing over approx. 35 kilometers of route length with largely top asphalt surfacing.

Staustufe Rehlingen Saar with beer garden near the weir on the Merzig side. Flat cycling on both sides of the Saar on well-developed paved paths directly along the bank of the Saar. More sun-facing cycling on the Merzig side and more shady cycling on the Rehlingen side. Whatever your preference ;-)

Very relaxing. Not necessarily recommended for small children, though, because of the water. 😁
