Andreas Seifert 🥾🚴🏼🏊🏼‍♂️🏄🏼‍♂️
April 5, 2026, Rescue Boat Eppe de Bloom

The sea rescue boat was christened WALTHER MÜLLER on July 30, 1977, in Bardenfleth, named after a supporter of the DGzRS. It belongs to the 9 m class of the DGzRS. The rescue boat was decommissioned in 2006 and handed over to the open-air harbor museum Dornumersiel/Westeraccumersiel. The former rescue boat WALTHER MÜLLER now stands in front of the old rescue shed (N53°40'23" E7°28'45") in Westeraccumersiel. It is intended to commemorate the sea rescue station at the Friedrichschleuse, which existed until 1960, and was ceremonially renamed on October 8, 2006, in honor of the first coxswain 'EPPE DE BLOOM' of the former station.

🐑✨Treading firmly for safety: Through their so-called "golden hooves," the sheep compact the soil. With their narrow hooves, they tread the earth firmly and close small holes that could be created by voles, for example. This prevents the dike from becoming unstable during floods.

🐑✨ The dike sheep are the unsung heroes of the East Frisian coast and are as much a part of the landscape from Norddeich to Ostermarsch as the ebb and flow of the tide. They are far more than just a beautiful photo opportunity – they are irreplaceable partners in coastal protection.

💃 Atmosphere & Music Today, her son Sven Rogall carries on the legacy. The atmosphere remains rustic and authentic. The focus is still on rock, oldies, and the spirit of the wild years, but there are also modern influences. On Fridays, Sven himself is often at the turntables (playing lots of rock), while on Saturdays, different DJs take turns.

⚓️ The Story & Meta Rogall It all began in 1960 when the young fisherman's daughter Meta Rogall (1935–1994) took over her parents' restaurant, the "Haus Waterkant". Originally started as a "milk bar", Meta transformed the place with an iron will and a lot of charisma into the "rock mecca" of the north.

🎸 Meta's music venue in Norddeich is far more than just a discotheque – it is a true legend of German rock history and a cultural sanctuary right behind the North Sea dike.
