In Südcoldinne you find the Tjaden Mühle, a Dutch windmill with a tail pole, which has been located in Südcoldinne since 1922. The mill was originally built in 1901 as a water pumping mill in Nordgeorgsfehn at lock 3 of the Nordgeorgsfehn canal and served there for drainage purposes. In 1922 it was sold, transported to its current location and converted into a grain mill. In 1975 the mill was decommissioned. Today it is used as a museum mill. An interior visit of the mill and the functional milling technology is possible. Source: http://grossheide-damals.de/Die-Tjaden-Muehle/

🚲✨ The Moin sign in Norden is an equally simple and heartwarming monument to the East Frisian way of life. It is far more than just a welcome greeting – it is the unofficial symbol of the serenity and hospitality that you feel here on every corner. The sign with the distinctive lettering „Moin“ embodies the region's motto for life. In East Frisia, „Moin“ is famously a complete conversation that fits any time of day or night. 🗣️💙
