Having been involved in a similar project in another district, I paid close attention to this one and was very interested in how it was being done. I really liked the concept and the location. Kudos to everyone involved.

Construction of the church didn't actually begin until 1920. A wooden riding arena, provided free of charge by the Third Order (previously belonging to Countess Tattenbach of Eurasburg near Wolfratshausen), was erected in Planegg as the nave. In 1967, plans began to replace the previous temporary church with a new one. The very sober, straight-lined building in the style of the 1970s was consecrated on December 17, 1972. The existing tower was retained next to the new church, but given horizontal blue stripes on a gray background; the people of Planegg have since called it "Ringelstrumpf" (Striped Stocking). https://de.wikipedia.org/wiki/St._Elisabeth_(Planegg)
