Fresh trout, char, and mackerel, slowly grilled over wood – crispy skin, juicy flesh, and the scent of the lake in the air. Ideal for a relaxed meal.

The bee-eater colony on Ungerberg, a fine vineyard in Weiden am See, is a must-see. It's reminiscent of the sandstone dwellings of the Nabataeans in Petra, Jordan. In summer, you can also enjoy the colorful birds themselves. But please shhh. The fantastic view from Ungerberg of Lake Neusiedl and the vineyards is best enjoyed in peace anyway.

A charming exhibition of drawings by children's book author Erwin Moser. The adjoining wine culture house features a wonderful wine cellar and a fantastic tasting with a winemaker from Gols.

If you look slightly to the left across the lake from the observation tower you can see as far as the Rax.
