Spalt Arrest Tower This tower is located at the top of the shield-like "old town" structure. It was built in the mid-14th century. From 1890 to 1935, it was used as a prison tower, especially for hop pickers who had committed crimes. The inmates were then transported "by train" to the Roth correctional facility. Since 1979, the tower has housed a small museum of the local history society, called "Heimatstuben," featuring remarkable rarities, particularly those related to hop cultivation.
