Facts about Hedwigshöhe: Origin of the name: The section is named after Hedwig Creutz, the wife of Dr. Otto Creutz, the initiator and "spiritual father" of the Nürburgring. History: During the construction of the Nürburgring (1925–1927), Hedwig Creutz is said to have often stayed there to enjoy the view over the Eifel. At that time, there were fewer trees, which allowed a clear view of the Nürburg. Location: Hedwigshöhe is located at just under 600 meters above sea level and is one of the higher points of the Nordschleife. Characteristics: Especially in the rain, this crest is considered very demanding for rear-wheel-drive vehicles.

The sequence of curves on the Eschbach is not extremely fast, but it can easily punish mistakes as the run-off areas are limited. This makes this section a real test for riders. ⚠️🛑

The former steep section between Klostertal and Karussell is reminiscent of the old days of the Nürburgring, when the track was wilder and more unforgiving – a piece of motorsport myth! 🏎️🔥 Today, this part of the track is no longer passable in its original form, as the Nordschleife has been rebuilt and modernized several times over the years – primarily for safety reasons. 🔧🛑
