Madersperger Sewing Machine Museum - Kufstein The inventor of the sewing machine, Josef Georg Madersperger, was honored with a museum dedicated to him in his birthplace of Kufstein, located on Kinkstrasse. The museum, called the Madersperger Sewing Machine Museum, features an audiovisual presentation that tells the story of Josef Georg Madersperger's life and work. Initially, only Madersperger knew about the usefulness of his machine. No one else was interested in acquiring his invention. Therefore, Madersperger donated his first working sewing machine to the Polytechnic Institute in Vienna. Today, his invention is indispensable, and the people of Kufstein have dedicated a museum to the inventor and his machine. Free admission – voluntary donations welcome Text / Source: Kufsteinerland Tourism Association, Unterer Stadtplatz 11-13, Kufstein https://www.kufstein.com/en/kufstein/info/madersperger-museum.html
