At the summit, there's no view at all in the middle of the forest. Not particularly worth seeing. The great view is from the restaurant a little further west.

One of the best views of Calw. A large information board reveals that the Gimpelstein has been known since 1520. The name probably comes from the bird bullfinch, which was ambushed here with a bird-catching trap. Further up there is a sky lounger for relaxing. The premium hiking trail Water, Forest and Meadow Trail also passes here.
