I completed this tour without stopping today. It's still very beautiful.
The early morning has a wonderfully warm light. Some views of Teinach, the baths and the Teinach mineral springs. Over at the top of the mountain were the old walls of the Zafelstein. There is advertising for the spring restaurant along the way. The Teinacher Hirschquelle has received a number of honorary memorial stones over the centuries. The Devil's Bridge takes us over the Teinach. Experience the Bad Teinacher mineral fountain live. By registering you can delve into the depths of the Water Sommelier. From the Mathildenanlage one takes, among other things: There are several stone ridges and rock formations up to the plateau. Open space awaits us and silence, silence, silence. Dwarf and tomcat pay their respects in the Wolfsschlucht. After the Schloßberghütte the second climb of the day begins, here to the Zavelstein. The old walls offer a nice view of the village. Then it goes down. One of the nice Adolfs left us a nice building here on the mountain. We return along the Teinach to the starting point. There is then a refreshment in the Krone. This time in Altbulach.

Inspired by Kauai in February 2021, I put the premium hiking trail "Der Teinacher" on my to-do list. Today it was time, the weather was passable and the temperature was finally in a comfortable range again. The hike is really worth it, especially if you like stairs. Fortunately, my internal knee injury from last year seems to have finally said goodbye - even after the hike my knees were completely normal. In addition to the beautiful paths, Zavelstein is of course very worth seeing. In February the tower was closed, today you could climb the tower of the castle ruins with traffic lights. Very nice view, the few more stairs don't make it ... The path along the Teinach is also very nice. In addition to the premium trail, I made a detour to a mountain hut (beautiful view) and into the Wolfsschlucht. It is not on the premium trail, but you have to go up a branch again. I ran up about 100-200m over the highlight in komoot and admired the mosses, lichens, etc. there. I did not discover a stream or waterfall - as stated in the highlight and unfortunately only seen after the hike. I suspect that you have to continue on the path and then turn right (?). Another highlight or a section marker would be very helpful here. The hike was wonderful - in the end I could have continued walking, it was so much fun.
Great tour "Der Teinacher" 😀 it rightly bears the title "Premium and connoisseur path". Great paths, a lot to discover and well signposted. I was pleasantly surprised that so few were on the track.
I've wanted to hike this trail for a long time. There are so many beautiful sights to see, and the 700 steps require strength and surefootedness.
The Mathildenanlage, the staircase, and the sandstone benches are harmoniously integrated into the forest. After some effort, one reaches the Emberg summit via more than 600 steps. Along the way, one also passes impressive sandstone formations.
This tour really deserves the name "quality trail". Beautiful winding nature trails, numerous highlights such as the town and Zavelstein Castle. The best thing, however, are the beautiful trails... and at the end the long loop towards Kentstein is absolutely worth it, because the trail along the Gronach is the crowning conclusion to a wonderful circular tour. KHW. on 10.6.
