One of the most beautiful squares in Karlsruhe's western part of town. Created at the beginning of the 20th century in a semicircular shape on the northern Hildapromenade.

Nice view of the small hill, also ironically called “Mount Klotz” in flat Karlsruhe 😉

The Karlsruhe Zoological Garden is a magical place where penguins challenge you to a race, chimpanzees perform acrobatic tricks and polar bears swim in synchronization. Elephants juggle with their trunks like circus stars. Every visit is a wildly funny adventure full of surprises and laughter. 📸🐒🐧🐘

The Rondellplatz is located along Karl-Friedrich-Straße between the market square and Ettlinger-Tor-Platz. On the Rondellplatz stands one of the obelisks in the region, the Grand Duke Karl Monument with fountain and constitutional column.

The Constitutional Column was built from 1822 to 1827 based on designs by Friedrich Weinbrenner. Made of red sandstone, the column rises 7.80 meters into the sky in the middle of Rondellplatz. In 1832, after the death of his successor, the column was dedicated to Grand Duke Karl, who once signed the Baden Constitution, one of the most liberal of his time. The column bears the inscription "To the founder of the constitution, the grateful city of Carlsruhe."

The beer garden outside is really cute. Everything is a bit run down but somehow still cool.
