The small, low-lying castle from the 12th century had a very eventful history until it came into the possession of Heidesheim in the 90s and was renovated. Today, the ambiance of its small park is particularly popular. The building houses a community center, a local district mayor's office, and a wedding room for ceremonies in a historic setting.

A sandy beach, tables and benches, the Rhine and a view as far as Eltville; a peaceful place between an allotment garden colony and a chemical factory.

The great bike paths are before and after this section, which is more or less a forest path. Something for gravel enthusiasts.

The inconspicuous Wildgraben, which flows from the Wackernheimer Höhe through the center of Heidesheim's village, partially running under the street, once brought raging floods to the village, sweeping away entire houses. Unimaginable today, the tranquil watercourse creates several idyllic corners in the village landscape, especially at the Catholic daycare center/Dalles and the town hall.

A truly beautiful church, built between 1791 and 1810 according to designs by Jakob Joseph Schneider, the then building director of Mainz. The building features a circular choir inside and a three-sided exterior, leaning against a Gothic tower. Particularly noteworthy are the Baroque altars and wooden figures from the early 18th century. After a lightning strike in 1910, the destroyed tower was quickly rebuilt.

Regardless of whether you come to Budenheim from the direction of Mombach or Heidesheim, the Pankratius Church immediately catches your eye. As the oldest building in the community, it can therefore also be described as a landmark of Budenheim. Many Budenheim residents associate their personal history with this church. The support association has been looking after the preservation of the Pankratius Church for more than 10 years. The association's express aim is to preserve the work of their ancestors for future generations and to make it a place of encounter. 2008 and 2009 were characterized by the interior restoration measures. Now we are finished and the big goal of bringing the old Kohlhaas organ back into the church has been achieved. Occasionally events take place at the church, such as mulled wine evenings in Advent or social days for the Boy Scouts or Woinoose. Content according to www.pankratiuskirche.de
