The Großer Ölberg, at 460.7 m above sea level, is the highest mountain in the Siebengebirge. At the summit, there is a restaurant with a viewing terrace, which offers a very good view of the Siebengebirge and the Hocheifel with the Hohe Acht, and to the west, among other things, of the Rhine. Simply beautiful here.

A transmission tower stands on its summit, making it visible from afar. There's a restaurant with a viewing terrace offering fantastic views of the Siebengebirge, the High Eifel with the Hohe Acht, and the Rhine to the west. The restaurant invites you to take a break and enjoy the beautiful view. The kitchen deserves special praise. You can expect good, home-cooked meals of excellent quality at fair prices. We had venison – a venison stew – it was delicious!

Unfortunately, there is no longer any catering at the summit. However, a vending machine with cold drinks and snacks is available for visitors. Glasses are also provided, so you can settle down on the summit terrace with a drink after the climb and enjoy the panoramic view. Wonderful idea! 💡
