A pedestrian bridge opened in 2000, connecting Nienburg's city center with the western bank of the Weser River. It was built on the site of the first Nienburg Weser Bridge. This historic pedestrian bridge connects the city center with the district on the western bank. In the 18th century, the first stone Weser bridge was built on this site as a gift from King George of England. Until the end of the 19th century, this Weser crossing was the only one in the area. When a larger bridge was built a few hundred meters downstream, the first pedestrian bridge was built here, but it was destroyed in World War II. The bridgeless condition at this point lasted for almost 60 years. Source: https://www.nienburg.de/info/poi/wesertor-bruecke-1000814-21501.html

The Cordingen Mill is a former watermill with a mill yard (miller's house and bakehouse) and ponds, located in the Warnau Valley between Cordingen and Benefeld (part of the town of Walsrode) in the southwestern Lüneburg Heath. The mill was first documented in 1661. Restored in the 1980s by the municipality of Bomlitz, the complex is considered one of the most valuable historical buildings in the Heidekreis district. The mill, built in 1810, operated until the 1950s. Today, the mill building is used for civil weddings by the town of Walsrode and is also available for private events. The miller's house contains an exhibition of documents and manuscripts about and by Arno Schmidt. The writer lived with his wife on the then fully operational mill yard from 1945 to 1950. His first post-war stories, Enthymesis, Gadir, Leviathan, and Brand's Heath, were written here. The Lower Saxony Mill Route passes by the Cording Mill. The rustic-looking mill grounds are very scenic due to their location in the narrowest section of the Warnau Valley, which is almost 20 meters below the surface. It is also one of the starting points for the Eibia-Lohheide recreation area via the Arno Schmidt Trail. Following the steep bank of the Warnau, you can also reach the Bomlitz Archaeological Trail from here. https://de.wikipedia.org/wiki/Cordinger_M%C3%BChle

The Rethem post mill is a listed building in the Lower Saxony town of Rethem (Aller) in the Heidekreis district. The post mill was built in 1594 in Frankenfeld, a municipality in the Rethem/Aller collective municipality. On the occasion of Rethem's 600th anniversary, it was dismantled in 1955 and rebuilt in Rethem's Londypark not far from the Aller. The windmill is station 93 on the Lower Saxony Mill Route (Lüneburg Heath region). https://de.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bockwindm%C3%BChle_Rethem

Grundlose See The Grundlose See, which is a good 2 metres deep, is 440 metres long from north to south and up to 170 metres wide in the northern area. It has an area of 4.7 hectares and is 72.5 metres above mean sea level. About 400 metres to the northeast are the elliptical Kleine See, which is 50 to 70 metres in diameter, and two other slightly smaller bodies of water. The Grundlose See was originally a remnant of the Ice Age that had almost silted up. Its preservation is not only due to the damming peat bog that grew up, but also to processes of raised bog scour formation. The lake can be walked around the shore from hiking car parks in the east (Ebbingen) and south (north of Fulde). There is also a lake of the same name in Upper Bavaria, near Lake Chiemsee. de.wikipedia.org/wiki/Grundloses_Moor
