Fredenbaum Park is very busy when the weather is nice, especially on weekends. Picnics and barbecues are often held on the lawns. The park has mature trees and lovely "corners."

The Volksgarten is a really beautifully laid out park. Wide paths invite you to stroll and there is also enough space for cyclists. There used to be a "tram" there in the summer, but that doesn't seem to happen anymore. There is a large fenced-in dog area to prevent dogs from filling up the lawns.
