The school was inaugurated on July 4, 1907, and is the most prominent building in the village. It closed in 2003, and the local history society "Föhrenfließ e.V." found its headquarters there. Unfortunately, the society has since dissolved. The building now houses the Krautz physiotherapy practice. The school's name is not political; it comes from the red bricks used in its construction.
