The term "mountains" is a gross exaggeration, but if you ride your bike without an e-bike from Wolfshain towards Tschernitz (or vice versa), you will still notice an incline.

The large buildings with the chimney are a highly visible landmark. They can be seen from Eichwege, Wolfshain, Klein and Groß Düben, and the chimney is even visible from Halbendorf. The final closure of the plant was announced on November 27, 2025 :-(

Founded in 1908, the fire department has always been an important organization for Wolfshain. Regular service and constant readiness for action are a matter of course for the firefighters. A new fire station was built in 1960 through volunteer labor. A complete renovation was finished in 2005. Wolfshain also offers plenty of cultural activities. The annual Easter bonfire takes place on Easter Saturday. The village youth and local clubs ensure its success. In addition to the Easter bonfire, the raising of the maypole on the eve of May 1st is another important event in the village. https://wolfshainerleben.de/wolfshain/
