The New Town Hall on the north side of Rudolstadt's market square received its present form in 1912 with its tower and Renaissance oriel window, while the interior architecture was only renovated in 1992, although it was largely preserved. The now-accessible town hall courtyard serves as an event venue in the summer, while the town administration is located in the town hall and the former Hotel "Zum Löwen".

The Schiller House focuses on Friedrich Schiller's "Rudolstadt Summer" of 1788, a formative and happy period in his life during which he met Goethe and his future wife, Charlotte von Lengefeld. In the restored historical living quarters, the museum presents multimedia exhibitions and offers cultural events throughout the year, as well as an adjoining café with a garden.

These beautiful, ancient houses were saved around 100 years ago by courageous and patriotic people, which required them to be completely demolished from their original location. So, they were rebuilt here, but these magnificent houses were actually built in 1667 and around 1700. They remain true to their original appearance, and the surrounding area has also been lovingly restored, with a cottage garden and a kind of courtyard with stately trees, which attracts guests as a snack café. Very cozy. Absolutely worth seeing. - It's nice that you can even admire these houses from the inside. The fenced-in complex is a truly special museum (inside and out!)
