We were able to explore the factory on our own. It's well-signposted, and QR codes provide a wealth of information. It was interesting to look over the workers' shoulders.

When you're near Rønne, take a moment to visit Galøkken Beach, a long, sandy stretch perfect for a quiet break. This beach offers a more peaceful alternative to some of the island's more famous spots, with plenty of space to relax and enjoy the coastal views. The water is ideal for swimming on a warm day, and you can enjoy a unique view of the town of Rønne and its harbor from the sand. It's a wonderful place to end your day, perhaps with a view of the sunset over the sea.

Rønne Bagfyr Lighthouse When entering the port of Rønne by ferry, the white lighthouse can be seen from afar. It stands elevated above the harbor basin. The tower has an octagonal floor plan, is made of iron, and is a replica of the lighthouse in the port of Ystad in southern Sweden. The lighthouse was active until 1989 and served as a leading light at the harbor entrance. It had been in operation since 1880. The lighthouse was 24 meters high, and the tower itself is 12 meters tall. https://www.bornholm-ferien.de/leuchttuerme-bornholm.php

St. Nicholas' Church, the largest church on the island of Bornholm, is located on a hill directly by the harbor of Rønne. With its dominant position in the cityscape, the church has become a landmark of Rønne. The first evidence of church construction on this site dates back to around 1275, when a small chapel was built here. Over time, it was repeatedly rebuilt and expanded. In 1550, a tower was built at the west end of the church, which was rebuilt in 1699. The current church is the result of extensive reconstruction between 1915 and 1918. At that time, most of the church was demolished and replaced with a new building. A small section of the foundation of the first chapel has been preserved on the north wall of the church. The consecration cross, beneath which 63 old coins were immured, also dates from this period. Worth seeing are the large chandelier from Lübeck (1620) and the large ship model of the frigate Dannebrog from 1873 hanging from the ceiling. https://www.holidaycheck.de/pi/nicolaikirche/ab8bd119-b7ed-3f5d-867c-60a648e1657a

Martin Andersen Nexö (1869-1945), a poet known far beyond Bornholm, spent his childhood in this house. It has been a museum since 1990. Nexö's main work is the novel "Pelle the Conqueror," which has also been made into a film. Shortly before his death, Nexö emigrated to East Germany. He was a member of the Communist Party and considered a worker writer. The novel was also made into a film, but due to copyright issues, it wasn't made until 1987. It starred Max von Sydow, among others.
