You can ride wonderfully along the Schwarzbach (up to the mouth). Great with children and especially on hot days. Mostly in the shade and the stream cools additionally!

One of the important bridges and thus crossings over the country road. Not particularly pretty, but ideal for or from Kriftel.

The war memorial on Lindenplatz in Kriftel is a central monument commemorating the victims of the world wars. Here is the most important information about it: Purpose & Commemoration: It primarily serves to commemorate the fallen and missing soldiers from Kriftel, especially from World War I (1914–1918) and World War II (1939–1945). Design: The monument is classically designed and fits into the historical ensemble of the square, which also includes the Bonifatius Cross. Historical Context: As part of the redesign of Lindenplatz in 2023, the monument was retained as an important reference point to maintain the connection between local history and modern square design. Documentation: The Kriftel municipal archive has documented the history of the monument, with exhibitions (e.g., in the town hall foyer) sometimes providing deeper insights into the names and fates of those honored there.

The Bonifatiuskreuz on Linden-platz was first mentioned in writing in 1555. The basalt cross, restored in 1976, once stood next to the 1000-year-old Gerichtslinde in the middle of Lindenplatz. The cross arms have indentations that were used to place candles. Before the first Bonifatiuskapelle was built, this cross is said to have stood at the spot where the saint's bones rested for one night in 754. The first written mention of Kriftel dates from 780 to 802.

The Catholic Church of St. Vitus stands on the site of the oldest church in the town, a foundation stone of which was found bearing the inscription of the year 1008. This earlier, much smaller church is believed to have been the oldest in the region. After a major fire in 1671, which destroyed large parts of Kriftel, the building was repaired, but then remained largely untouched for a long period. By the 19th century, the old church had become far too small and was in a very poor state of repair. In 1865, its demolition and the construction of a larger new church on the same site were approved. This new church was completed in 1868. In the 1990s, the church interior was restored, renovated, and repainted. During this process, some of the old wall paintings were uncovered. A modern Christian center has developed in the immediate vicinity of St. Vitus Church, comprising the church square, the parish hall, and the "Family Oasis" facility. Church concerts in St. Vitus at Easter, Pentecost and Advent are among the cultural highlights in Kriftel and the district.
