The path is now in a catastrophic state. Will it be straightened out again?

Nice narrow trail, unfortunately you have to push sometimes.

Nice trail technique course to practice on. You can also see the volcanic rock again and again. Unfortunately the lines/course are not maintained. Some lines are completely overgrown and/or there are branches and stones in the way. There is wild growth here and there on the pump track. 1 of the 3 upper entrances is completely overgrown. A pity.

There are currently a lot of trees lying across. Hardly possible to get through

At the weekend it is better to avoid a lot of hikers here. The path is also very narrow and, as described, you go vertically a few meters down on one side.

Going down is also fun. Just ⚠️ Careful, quite a lot of loose rubble!

While Deudesfeld itself doesn't host a dedicated bike park, the broader Eifel region offers excellent options. The two most prominent are the VulkanBike Trailpark, which includes the challenging Trail Park Koulshore, and the DIMB BikePark Rureifel in Hürtgenwald.
The Trail Park Koulshore is known for its technically demanding single trails, fast descents with berms, and wooden Northshore elements. It combines the natural 'hot trails' of the Volcanic Eifel with 'cool Northshore elements' inspired by Canadian bike parks, offering an adrenaline-filled experience over 13 hectares. Helmets are compulsory, and trails are typically ridden in one direction.
The DIMB BikePark Rureifel offers 17 trails designed for various skill levels, from ambitious hobby riders to professionals. It includes five lines for riding enjoyment, a flow trail, and a freeride track with a jump line. While it caters to experienced riders, there are options for different abilities, making it accessible for those looking to progress.
Yes, the DIMB BikePark Rureifel in Hürtgenwald is free to use. Riders should note that there is no lift, so you'll need to pedal uphill yourself or arrange for a shuttle. E-bikes are permitted on 13 of its trails.
Beyond dedicated bike parks, the region offers trails like the Bleckhausen Singletrack, an intermediate, shady trail section without significant technical demands. Another option is the MTB alternative route near the Kosmos Cycle Path in Natur- und Geopark Vulkaneifel, which allows cyclists to ride parallel to the main cycle path.
The Eifel region, particularly around Deudesfeld, is characterized by its volcanic landscape. You'll encounter diverse natural features such as river valleys, volcanic lakes (maars), and dense forests. Trails often wind through these scenic environments, offering views and varied terrain.
Absolutely. The Trail Park Koulshore within the VulkanBike Trailpark is ideal for experienced bikers seeking technical challenges, with demanding single trails, fast descents, and wooden Northshore elements. Additionally, the Lieserpfad Steep Slope Singletrail offers a very scenic and narrow trail with steep slopes, requiring careful riding.
Besides mountain biking, the area around Deudesfeld offers a variety of outdoor activities. You can find numerous cycling routes for touring bicycles, such as those listed in the Cycling around Deudesfeld guide.
