Rating for touring cyclists with heavy luggage (Road vs. Gravel Pass, crossing Nassereith towards Biberwier): The ascent is long and very steep in places. There is loose gravel, partly narrow, slightly blocked paths with occasional roots. On one section, the path is narrower than 1 m and runs directly along a steep slope. I would not recommend the pass path with a normal touring bike and full luggage. It is only sensible with an e-bike (powerful, current motor) and solid MTB skills at S1 level. Then the path is easily manageable, but requires concentration. Going downhill in this direction is significantly easier. Here, you have to ride carefully mainly because of the loose gravel – no major technical challenge.

Wide gravel path, quite easy to ride, but sometimes it goes up steeply.

A picture-perfect setting with something for everyone. Hikers, mountain climbers and mountain bikers, even ski tourers and piste skiers will not be disappointed here. As a biker you have to be careful not to stray from the path while looking so much.

The highest point of the cycle path at over 1,300 m. It is almost 100 m higher than the "official" Fernpass with its rest area.

By taking the train you can save yourself some of the climbing. Various hikes with varying degrees of difficulty start from up here. The train can also save you the first few meters of climbing when climbing the Zugspitze.
