Designated as S3, this trail is relatively easy to ride, apart from the many switchbacks that might be challenging for some. Personally, I would rate it as S2. No major steps, rocks, or roots.

Definitely S3 has some exciting parts 😀

S3 switchback trail for gourmets! Tight hairpin bends partly in connection with steps. Moving the rear wheel as a skill is a huge advantage here!

Coming from the Luitpolder Alm it is really steep up again before you have reached the Rißsattel with its magnificent view of the Eng. From there it goes down in a switchback festival. If you have problems with tight hairpin bends, you don't need to tackle this section. Everyone else - who also have no problem with hairpin bends in danger of falling - will have fun. The trail is definitely S3 with possibly a few S4 spots.

Easy single trail. Nice start and nice end to a tour [if you start from Mittenwald]. And much better than an asphalt runway.

If you can't implement your rear wheel, you won't have fun here. For the rest a very slow, very technical and in places extremely steep trail on which you have to unpack everything you can. The card says S3 here, but would rather rate S4. The side of the trail is very steep, so there are no falls. Otherwise you will be rewarded for the effort with an absolutely magnificent view of the Rißbach. This trail was also part of our crossing the Alps. I have a contribution with text and videos on my website: https://www.adventtour.net/post/transalp-mountainbike-lenggries-%C3%B6tztal-s%C3%BCdtirol-stelvio

S2 trail with some S3 passages with loose rocks and logs. In the lower section, however, peppered with switchbacks and flowing passages. Technically, but fun!

Yes, the region offers several challenging trails for experienced riders. For instance, the Rißscharte Downhill Trail is considered very technical and steep, rated S3, with some sections even reaching S4. The terrain varies significantly, from flowing forest singletracks to highly technical downhill sections with loose rocks, roots, and numerous switchbacks. Difficulty ratings range from S1 (easy single trail) to S4 (extremely difficult).
