An air disaster near Cisna took place on January 10, 1991. History A Mi-8T helicopter from the 103rd Aviation Regiment of the Internal Troops of the Ministry of Internal Affairs was transporting a film crew of the "Magazyn Kryminalny 997" television program to Cisna (it was supposed to cover the case of the discovery of the body of a woman involved in currency trading in Rzeszów in Dołżyca). During the accident, there was strong wind. The aircraft crashed to the ground between Cisna and Majdan, followed by a fire. During the accident, the television crew was on the ground. The disaster killed people from the Police (officers and one civilian employee; passengers) and the crew of soldiers of the aviation of the Internal Troops of the Ministry of Internal Affairs. According to the presenter of "Magazyn Kryminalny 997", Michał Fajbusiewicz, the flight that ended in disaster was intended to circle Cisna and serve the television crew to film the area with the helicopter's camera from the air, after which the television crew was supposed to fly to Rzeszów. After takeoff, the pilot mistakenly caused a helicopter malfunction and crashed onto a forested mountainside. During the disaster, snow lay in the area. The program's crew recorded the accident with a video camera. The video tapes with previously produced television material for the program were destroyed in the disaster. The recovery of bodies from the wreckage was completed on January 11, with the participation of GOPR rescuers and soldiers of the Armed Forces of the Republic of Poland. You can reach Łopiennik (1,069 m above sea level) by several trails: the black one from Dołżyca, the blue one from Baligród or from the village of Habkowce (northwest of Cisna on road 893) along the "Stary Majdan" nature trail.

The wooden observation tower on Mount Mochnaczka (777 m above sea level) is the first point on the blue Bieszczady Trail from Cisna. From the observation tower we can see Krzywe in the foreground, then Strzebowiska, and in the background, among others. Jasło, Fereczata, Jawornik, Kamienna, Rawki and Połonina Caryńska. The tower is equipped with a telescope (but it does not always work).

To visit the cascade on Osława and see the beautiful arched reinforced concrete viaduct up close, you need to cross the barrier by the road and go about 400 m along the tracks of the closed narrow-gauge railway. Most of this section can be covered by bicycle riding on the left side of the track with caution, because it is narrow and the viaduct is in poor technical condition. The barriers are bent, rebars protrude from the structure in places and you have to be careful of your legs and bicycles. I absolutely advise against visiting at night! You can leave your bicycles on the viaduct and go down the steep wooden stairs to the Osława riverbed and walk a bit through the forest. This will allow you to see the structure of the viaduct from the bottom and the river bed, noiselessly overcoming large boulders. In this place, in the summer, some people lie on the beach, spreading blankets on the stones, and in the event of excessive heat, you can shelter from the sun under the trees. The Osława creates a meander around the ridge of the mountain, similarly to the San near Zwierzyń, where the fall of the river was used to build the Myczkowce hydroelectric power plant. Here in Osława there was also such an idea, but the investment did not come to fruition and the place retained its natural charm, which confirms the status of a nature reserve.
