Roadside shrine from the early 19th century. Built on the site of an older one - according to tradition, erected with the Łomża Cathedral.

Lake Wiartel is located right next to the village of the same name, about 7 km from Pisz, and is very popular among tourists looking for active recreation. It is a good place for a bike trip, because around the lake there are forest roads and paths of moderate difficulty, ideal for trekking bikes. There are several recreation centers and campsites by the lake, as well as water equipment rentals, so you can combine cycling with kayaking or sailing. The beaches are well-maintained, with places for swimming and piers. In the season, it is worth arriving earlier, because the area can be quite crowded.

Lake Brzozolasek, located near Pisz, is a peaceful place ideal for those seeking peace and closeness to nature. The lake is surrounded by forests, which are conducive to cycling trips on the nearby forest and gravel roads. The water is clean and the shores are gentle, which encourages swimming and resting, although the tourist infrastructure is rather modest here. It is worth taking provisions and a supply of water with you, because there are few shops in the immediate vicinity. In the summer, it is good to have mosquito repellent with you.

Perfectly smooth asphalt that allows you to enjoy driving through the heart of the Piska Forest.

I was trying to find a way to get to the area, especially since the original version of the attraction pointed to the middle of the cemetery, not the main entrance. The main entrance is on Łomżyńska Street. There is one path through the cemetery, which leads to Konopnickiej Street. The cemetery itself is very littered. It looks like a place of drinking. There are alcohol containers lying around everywhere. In the summer, you can probably see very little, in some photos you can see how overgrown everything is.

The monument in Nowogród commemorates the battle of Polish soldiers with Germans fought on September 7–10, 1939, when 800 Polish soldiers supported by civilians from the city and surrounding areas fought a German division of several thousand. The tank in Nowogród obviously did not take part in this battle. https://proszewycieczki.wordpress.com/2023/09/10/nowogrod-czolg-pomnik/

The history of this tank is very interesting and due to the fact that its condition is good, as indicated by the small number of layers of paint, which in turn allows you to read the factory number (412815) and trace its history. T-34-85 manufactured in December 1944 in plant no. 112. It turns out that this is a tank delivered in the second tranche (January/February 1945) to the 4th Armored Brigade of the 1st Armored Corps. This means that it is a veteran of the battles of Bautzen (April 21–30, 1945) - one of the few tanks of the 4th Brigade that survived these battles. https://zlomzy.pl/pl/15_fotorelacje/379_inne/949_czolg-w-nowogrodzie-co-o-nim-wiemy-foto-.html

There are very few monuments like this anymore. A Soviet tank from World War II, a T-34, stands in Nowogród (Podlaskie Province) and looks quite, quite. The tank was erected on the occasion of the 30th anniversary of the Polish People's Republic and unveiled on September 14, 1974. The commemorative plaque next to it reads "Glory to the heroes who died in the fight against German fascism for the freedom of the Łomża Region." It is worth emphasizing that we are currently celebrating and commemorating the day when the Polish People's Republic ended. However, this controversial monument still stands and attracts tourists.
