A neat water fall that I didn't know was here until today in Jordan, MN. It's definitely has some man made reinforcement, wonder if this was an original location of a falls? Probably was originally where a mill or something needed water power.

Next a picnic pavilion, the Hooper-Bowler-Hillstrom House may be best known for it's two-story outhouse; the first floor of which is open for viewing (the second isn't structurally sound enough, but they helpfully include a diagram of how someone would use the 2nd floor without hitting those on the first). The house was originally built in 1871 but added on many times over the course of the three families that inhabited it. Tours are available and free, but donations are accepted to help with the upkeep of the house.

Samuel B. Strait moved his family from Indiana to Minnesota in 1856 in pursuit of his dream to establish a new town named St. Lawrence on the banks of the Minnesota River. He built this home in 1857 just before Minnesota became a state. At one time there was a hotel, a schoolhouse, a post office, and a sawmill. Now, all that remains is the home of the town's founder.
