Valkallen Summit and Cabin

Highlight • Summit

Nice view, great place to stay (no farm, no beds, but sleeping on the floor is possible in the cottage, fireplace available, next source is further away in Lövvik or Norrvarp)

Nipstugan Cabin

Highlight • Mountain Hut

The second most beautiful stuga on the tour to Valkallen, we found. Simply furnished with great care. Attention, there is no water up here and must be brought from below beforehand. A bucket of luck is filled with rainwater from the gutter.
Please leave the hut clean, tidy and take your garbage with you so that it will be preserved for a long time

Rödhällmalen Shelter

Highlight • Mountain Hut

Beautiful modern windbreak that is fairly new and was designed and built by four students. You could stay there with 3 or 4 people

Norrvarp Shelter and Campsite

Highlight • Mountain Hut

Beautiful place to camp with fireplace, spring (creek) and shelter (not so suitable for sleeping indoors), located directly on the sea. Approximately 500 m further North comes again a newly built shelter (not marked in general maps, marked as a highlight) which is also suitable for sleeping (there is no spring, no fireplace).

Fjärdbotten Cabins and Campsite

Highlight • Mountain Hut

There are 5 stuga's here. 2 with a bunk bed (double width), 2 smaller ones but still plently of room to sleep on the floor and another one with a huge table which can also be used to sleep on the floor.

I did not and would not drink the water from the 'source' here, it smelled disgusting. The water from the lake is salty do we didn't use that either. 200 meters before arrival there was a very little stream with some clean & fresh water.

Fantastic view from the summit. Barbecue area and overnight accommodation. Cooking area in the hut. Restrooms, and a wood storage facility next door.

Beautiful place to stay overnight - but the wind was coming from the open side, so it was hardly protected from the wind. But with a tarp it was comfortable

You should pay 100 KR/person Do not try to get up with you bicycle (like we did) it is a long way and you will have to carry it. Really beautiful

This place is marked on maps as "Fjärdbotten Gästhamn" or "Fjärdbotten Stuga". There are several stugas where you can stay overnight and a good camping area right by the jetty. There are toilets. The water from the spring (a little south in the forest, it is signposted) was clear and we filtered it and drank it. It tasted completely neutral.
