This is a good starting point for various hikes. We hiked the Bächeweg as a circular trail of approx. 8.2 km. Really very beautiful. The highlight, the waterfall, is about 100m from the parking lot.

The church in Olberode was built around 1800. The organ comes from the church in Momberg and has a valuable facade from the 18th century. In the chancel there are two stained glass windows by the well-known artists Erhard and Erhard Jakobus Klonk from Wetter near Marburg. The upper window dates from 1927 and shows the crucifixion of Jesus. The lower window was financed in 2002 by donations from the community and shows the symbols of the Last Supper in abstract forms. Valuable ceiling paintings from the 19th century show four angels. In 2005, Bishop Dr. Hein inaugurated the new altar table, which was made of steel in modern shapes.

Yes, very well maintained. Unfortunately there was a pub with live music, which was annoying when sleeping on the pitch. In addition, some dogs howl at night and the residential street is definitely used. Therefore, well-kept place, but too loud.
