This house of worship, which rises in an exposed position on the ridge above the valley, was consecrated to Saint Peter. Simon, nicknamed Peter (Rock), was a fisherman on the Sea of Galilee when – together with his brother Andrew – he was called by Jesus Christ to become a "fisher of men". According to Catholic understanding, he is the chief apostle, and the two-thousand-year line of popes – currently Leo XIV – stand in his succession. In statues and paintings, Peter is almost always depicted with two keys in his hand; this attribute refers to the biblical passage in Matthew: "I will give you the keys to the kingdom of heaven; whatever you bind on earth will be bound in heaven, and whatever you loose on earth will be loosed in heaven." (Chapter 16, Verse 19). Peter, along with Paul, is also known as the "princes of the apostles"; their common feast day in the calendar of saints is on June 29th.

Beautifully situated hut with a terrace offering great views. Somewhat rustic (in the dining room), but spartan furnishings. The indoor toilets are out of service, but there's a separate outhouse not far from the hut (be sure to bring a headlamp for the night). The hut owner is in a festive mood.

In the plain of the Radovljiška basin, flows the modest stream Blatnica. In its upper course it flows along the bottom of a deep ravine. In places where the stream has not yet carved out the rock, it creates small forests and even real waterfalls. The most interesting is the highest, more than 12 m high two-level waterfall. On its way, the stream hollowed out the living rock and carved it into the shape of a huge boulder next to which the current waterfall falls. Somehow halfway through this apparent boulder, the upper level of the waterfall falls into the pool and immediately from it into the lower, steeply cut-off level

The oldest part of the castle is the square Romanesque tower in the northwestern part. Later, a Gothic palace with living quarters on four floors was built in the opposite part. In the 16th century, a central Renaissance palace with an inner courtyard was built between the two buildings. The southern slope below the castle was intended for terraced gardens, and in the lower part there was a complex of outbuildings with a mill and sawmill.
