The beach, which is accessible from all points via the circular path, is partly natural and partly prepared for bathing with sports and games. In many places, small steps have been newly created from the circular path down to the water, and there are many fishing spots and benches with a view.

"A post mile marker of the Electorate of Saxony, colloquially also called a Saxon post mile marker or simply a post marker, is a milestone that indicates distances and walking times to within one-eighth of an hour. The design of the markers varies depending on the distance they represent; they can be in the form of an obelisk, an ancient herm, or a stele." - https://de.wikipedia.org/wiki/Kurs%C3%A4chsische_Postmeilens%C3%A4ule This is a quarter mile marker. Until 1998, it was erected on the B 176 in the Heinersdorf district near the bridge over the Heinersdorf stream on the old postal road Dresden – Colditz – Lausick – Borna, at Schildholz between Heinersdorf and Flößberg on the old postal route. Starting from the Ballendorf mile marker (number 36), it took 1.5 hours to reach mile marker number 39, which is approximately 6.75 km. Due to bridge construction and the danger it poses, the stone was moved. The milestone was made of porphyry tuff.
