Follow a pleasant stream then gradually climb up the slopes past some of the oldest conifer trees in the woods. Look out for the viewpoint halfway round where you can look out along the valley of Cardinham Water towards its source on Bodmin Moor. It's a perfect spot to watch the foliage change during the seasons

Brilliant little traditional cafe near the car park at Cardinham Woods, very quaint! With everything from hearty meals to delicious home-bakes, it's just the ticket after laps of the trails or a long walk. The cream teas here come highly recommended, and you'll find more on the menu here: https://www.woodscafe.co.uk/. Although indoor seating is limited, there are some picnic benches outside which are gorgeous in good weather.
