The rock is located in the south of the Burgundy region (Département Saône-et-Loire), not far from the town of Mâcon. Its distinctive profile rises out of a vast "sea of vines". The vineyards shown belong to the well-known Mâconnais wine region and produce renowned white wines such as Pouilly-Fuissé. The entire area is protected as a Grand Site de France and is also one of the most important prehistoric sites in Europe.

In front of this small sacred monument, I would like to share the following thought with the viewer: "What is new and beautiful for me is the realization that I find God in wonder! I am often pleasantly surprised by something special that I cannot explain, something that simply leaves me standing in awe. And I can be amazed by so many good and special things if I am attentive and do not take things for granted. I can be amazed by creation, by people, by encounters, by circumstances, and by much more that arises in everyday life. For me, wonder is increasingly a visible sign and feeling of God's existence, for which I am deeply grateful." (Christiane Völkel)

The descent to the power station is too steep. It's a slope of about 45 degrees with loose rocks and no footing. It's actually too dangerous. This hike is definitely not easy.

This isn't an easy hike, more of a moderate/difficult one. Not for small children. There's climbing and scrambling over rocks, which can be dangerous at times!
