You can't see much from the lookout, but this is a nice little spot to rest in the woods after the climb from the south lot.

March 23, 2026, Whytecliff Park

This is a pleasant little trail through the woods. There are a number of benches at lookout points, though the views are mostly obscured by trees - you may have more luck with the overlooks in winter.

The south-facing viewpoint looks out over coastal waters toward nearby Lighthouse Park, a popular contrast to the quieter feel of Klootchman Park. From this open rocky perch, you can see forested headlands dropping into the water, with boats occasionally passing through the inlet below.

The viewpoint overlooking Indian Bluff is one of the standout stops on the short Klootchman Park Overlook Trail. With minimal elevation gain, you’re quickly rewarded with open views across rocky bluffs, forested slopes, and coastal waters stretching beyond.

From the north-facing viewpoint on Klootchman Park Overlook Trail, you get classic coastal views toward Eagle Harbour and beyond. The forest opens here to reveal water, islands, and inlet channels framed by tree-lined ridges.
