Mill De Wachting is a flour mill from 1848 on the Vlasmarkt in Tholen. It is a round stone mill with a radius of 23.50 meters. The mill remained in operation using wind power until 1930. After this, the mill served as a mechanical mill. The milling company stopped in 1964 and in 1980 Jan and Iza van Gorsel bought the adjacent building and mill. The plan was to incorporate the wrecked mill hull into the house. It turned out differently. The hull was renovated and the ground and first floors were added to the house. After the necessary restorations, the mill was fully operational again on September 5, 2009. You can buy all kinds of craft products in the mill shop. Willem Bastiaanse's model collection is also exhibited in the mill. You can read more about this mill at www.molendatabase.nl

Beautiful pumping station just behind the dike. The adjacent house is visibly tilted. It is a former steam pumping station near the hamlet of Strijenham on the Zeeland island of Tholen. It was built in 1910 by Canoy-Herfkens and served to pump excess water from the canal over the dike.

De Molenplaat is a nature reserve in development. From a sandbank in the Oosterschelde via a sludge depot, it is now a beautiful nature reserve that can grow even further in terms of natural values.

"De Hoop", built in 1736 to replace an even older post mill. Mill "De Hoop", built on the edge of this beautiful fortified town, turned out to be on an artificial elevation, a kind of mound. It is a round, stone, white-painted flour mill, type mill. And what a statement! The aim is to raise the blades even further to catch as much wind as possible. The scaffolding on which this mill stands is exceptionally high!

De Wachting is a round stone mill, built in 1848. In 1930 it was dismantled and an engine was installed for grinding. The Van Gorsel family bought the mill hull in 1980 and made parts of it suitable for habitation. In 2008/2009 the mill was restored to its former glory, complete with a hood and a sail cross. She is also good at grinding. In 2021, the mill was taken over by miller Patrick de Graaf.
