Aliso Canyon Park is a public park with trails open every day from 7a.m. to 5 p.m. Trails are open to equestrians, hikers, and bikers. Some of the trails, like the Aliso Canyon Trail, are generally smooth but can get technical in some areas, so approach only if you are comfortable with more technical off-pavement riding.

From the 1950s to the 1970s, Tressa "Grandma" Prisbrey created a unique "village" comprising shrines, walkways, sculptures, and buildings, using recycled items and materials salvaged from the local landfill. She lived from 1896–1988. This site is recognized as California Historical Landmark No. 939 and was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1996. Admission fees are $10.00 for adults and $5.00 for children.

Within the trees around this roadside area is a large rock overhang that is known as the Manson Family Cave. It is the spot where the infamous and murderous Manson Family posed for a photograph while hunkered together under this large rock. The photograph was published in Time Magazine after their horrible crimes.
