Today, Skov Olesens Plantage covers around 55 hectares, of which around 33 hectares are wooded. Most of the forest was planted in the 1950s on former heathland, with the first plantings dating back to the 1930s. Today, the forest is gradually being transformed into a more species-rich mixed forest with trees of varying ages in order to improve stability, soil quality and habitats for animals, insects and fungi.

North-west of the Funder village, this church has no tower but it's a beautiful building nevertheless. Both the south portal and the north portal are built in Romanesque architecture and the pulpit is in the late Renaissance style.
