Pearl Harbor is a National Historic Landmark on the island of Oahu. The port and headquarters of the Pacific Fleet of the United States Navy are known for the attack by Japanese forces on the US Pacific Fleet during World War II. This caused the USA to enter the war. At Pearl Harbor you can visit five historical sites that tell of the tragic events. You should set aside at least half a day for the WWII Valor in the Pacific Monument (USS Arizona Memorial), the Battleship Missouri Memorial, the USS Bowfin Submarine Museum & Park, the USS Oklahoma Memorial and the Pacific Aviation Museum. https://www.tourlane.de/nord Amerika/usa/gehenswuerdigkeiten-hawaii/#waikiki-strand

This bike path is a great spot to get off the main road and get up close to some war ships in Pearl Harbor's West Loch!

Manoa Falls is one of the most spectacular waterfalls on Oahu to see! The fall is 150 feet tall and cascades down into a lush jungle. You can swim in the pool formed at the bottom to cool off! If you enjoy climbing and seeing the less-traveled roads, Lā-'ī Road and Waiomao Road can help you sneak in that little bit extra!

The National Park Service has managed and operated the USS Arizona Memorial since 1980. The USS Arizona Memorial Program is approximately a 45-minute tour run in collaboration with the US Navy! Tours run daily, every 15 minutes from 8 am - 3:30 pm. Currently this program only includes the US Navy provided boat shuttle to the memorial, time on the memorial, and a return trip back to the Visitor Center.

In the 1820s, sailors discovered what they believed were diamonds in the rocks on the volcano’s slopes. Although the sailors’ diamonds turned out to be clear calcite crystals, the name Diamond Head has been associated with the crater ever since. The best view is from the left-hand side of the building!
