In 1583, Johann Zimmermann von Frohnhofen was the tenant of the mill in the "Drießbach," which belonged to the Dukes of Arenberg. In 1794, the tenant, Johannes Helten, paid nine malters of grain, a pig worth at least 150 pounds, and a chicken as annual rent. The Ducal Arenberg Mill remained in operation until the end of the 19th century. Source: https://www.hocheifel-nuerburgring.de/a-dreisbachmuehle-historische-muehle
