Legend. A long time ago, many years ago, the large town of Raigardas was located south of Druskininkai, near the village of Švendubrė. The rich, chic Raigard was well known to everyone around him, famous for his grandeur and beauty. Unfortunately, the residents of Raigardas themselves were greedy, proud, insincere. They forgot their jobs, every day just proud to live in their beautiful city. Probably the biggest decoration of the city was the church - high, shining, sky-reaching towers. Unfortunately, the sinful inhabitants of the city slowly stopped visiting it and even completely abandoned it. While this city of Raigard was alive, the forests, ravines, swamps, and ravines were still teeming with devils. One of them, the greatest and strongest, on a gloomy night, secretly squatting on a stump and looking at Raigard's city and its magnificent church, which miraculously glowed even in the dark, decided to lose that beauty and make fun of the ungrateful, neglected inhabitants of Raigard. Together with the other devils that night he ran here and there, through mountains and hills, fields and meadows, until he finally found a huge stone. The mighty devil rolled him by the horns, hoofed him, and carried him hard towards Raigard's city. His idea was angry and terrible, as was the devil himself - to drop a stone on Raigard's church and thus break it. The evil devil hurried, and when the church towers began to shine on the horizon, he began to giggle maliciously. But, it turns out, those nights were short, or maybe just the devil took too long to carry the stone, and this suddenly dawn morning was announced to everyone around by the singing cock. The devil had not yet managed to reach the city of Raigard, but upon hearing the chant he immediately threw a stone and disappeared. The lost stone rolled down to Švendubrė and stands there to this day.
